The workshop meeting at the Bay Club was called to order at 9:00 AM, Elizabeth Van Zonneveld, President, presiding.  All council members attended a portion of the meeting except Bert Loomis, Bruce Pyles and Bruce Schmitz. One resident attended the meeting.

 

 

  1. Review of 11/10 Planning retreat results.

Lots of discussions. Allen Panasuk and Tony Durham took an action to prioritize the Planning Retreat meeting results and bring back to the Council for discussion. Tony Durham stated that he will schedule at least two committees per Workshop to discuss their plans and budget needs.

 

2.      Requests by trails Committee.

Trail Committee archival records have been requested to be turned over to the PLVC Secretary for filing with PLVC records. Discussions followed about insurance coverage. An Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Dwayne Wilcox, Tom Stone and Bruce Pyles was formed to review our current insurance coverage with a special focus on Trails, Friday market and Funfest.

A request for separation of Grant Sharpe Memorial Funds from Trail Funds will not be approved.

 

 

3.      Report of CDC activity

The Amendment of the Development Agreement regarding Ludlow Cove II was discussed. Tom McCay suggested a Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Larry Nobles, Tom McCay, Jim Branneman, Suzanne Graber and Gary Moore meet with PLA to discuss. Depending on what is discovered at this future meeting, PLVC may have to involve Jefferson County DCD.

 

4.      Funfest needs- golf tournament chair

The President reported that no volunteer has been identified for this chair and that if not identified, the golf event may have to be cancelled.

 

5.      Paradise Bay Road Project

Larry Nobles provided an update on current Jeff County Public Works project. He provided a cost planning document that stated that the project will cost about $,088,612. Although the funding source is still not clear, pictures of the light fixtures were shown.

 

6.      Communications Committee actions

The President stated that a speaker from the Sheriff's Department on Drugs and Crime, relevant to Port Ludlow will be at the PLVC June meeting. She also stated that the Communications Committee will assist in arranging future speakers. She then stated that Jefferson County DCD has arranged a Short Course in local land planning for July 27 at the Bay Club. Course will be taught from 6 to 9 pm and publicity will be arranged by Jefferson County.
